Telecommunications Engineer
Wedge Global is looking for a talented Telecommunications engineer with sound knowledge in programming (C/C++/Phyton …) and communications (standard protocols like I2C, UART, ModBus… and remote communications) to join our team.
You will operate engineering, programming and control our PTO systems (Reluctance machines and permanent magnets machines) and also designing or implementing new ways of remote and standard communications systems, as any other scientific soft skills with a variety of projects. This is a dynamic role that will require not only a broad technical understanding of process type projects but also a willingness to work differently and innovatively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist engineers with new design, simulation and implementation of control algorithms, for PTO (Power Take Off).
- Assist engineer with new, design and integration of new communications systems.
- Assist engineer with the development of new tools (algorithm, PCB, electronics), to implement in Flora project.
- Perform quality control on prototypes and fully developed products
- Operate strategy implementation
- Technical supervision of the associated R&D project.
- Write reports and make recommendations for improvements
- Realization of test protocols in projects.
- Report directly to Scientific Director
- Dialogue with R&D specialist and Project Director
Requirements (Must have)
- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Telecommunications engineering or related field.
- Experience in programming (C/Phyton/Matlab) and other IoT systems.
- Experience in design and development of electronics (PCB).
- Experience with hardware documentation and provider management.
- Expertise in remote/Lan communications (integration)
- Ability to travel: Worldwide.

Nice to have
- Master degree in programming, electronics, telecommuncations or related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience related to the functions of the position.
- High Communication and project management skills.
- Advanced English, oral and written: minimum B2.
- Residence in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
- Experience with simulation and mathematical design (Matlab, Simulink, Calculus …)
- Technical support for the company's systems (Web, cybersecurity, servers, etc.).
