End of Degree Thesis
The preparation and evaluation of an End of Degree Thesis is a requirement set out in state regulations as well as in official Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the ULPGC, whatever its geographical location or mode of instruction.
The aim of the End of Degree Thesis is to prepare a work where the student develops the acquired skills and knowledge, both theoretical and practical, as a result of their studies and in preparation for their careers in the corresponding fields.
In the new Bachelor and Master degrees, the End of Degree Thesis is called End-of-Degree Project or End-of-Master Project, respectively, with a specific number of credits (in the case of the EITE, the aforementioned subjects have 12 and 18 credits, respectively) . These subjects require, among others, the following:
- To defend the End of Degree Thesis, the student must have successfully passed all the credits, with the exception of those assigned to the TFT (article 28 of the General Regulations for End-of-Degree and End-of-Master's Projects of the ULPGC’s Official Degrees).
- The calls will begin once the student has passed the rest of the degree subjects (article 7 of the Regulations for Progress and Permanence in Official Degrees at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria).
- Students enrolled in another University (other than the ULPGC) and who are in an exchange program will be able to carry out the End of Degree Thesis at EITE. Students must propose tutor and co-tutor, if any, during the first month of their stay at EITE. This project must be approved by the End-of-Degree Project Committee (article 14 of the General Regulations for End-of-Degree and End-of-Master's Projects of the ULPGC’s Official Degrees).
